(More customer reviews)This is largly my own fault, but when I read that it was a "hard case" I expected there to be some form of rigid shell . It is more of a "reinforced" feel than a "hard" feel. It bends easily when pushed.
Rereading the description I really don't feel the seller deceived me in any way. They never claimed it was completely rigid, just "hard". It certainly isn't soft. Differences in what someone means by "hard" is part of the difficulty of shopping online.
It's a decent case and still looks like the closest to what I want on Amazon. I simply want to make sure that furture purchasers know what they are buying. Or more specifically, that it isn't a clamshell.
My only other complaint is that the interior straps are so small that it is a bit of a struggle to get all four courners secured simultaneously, but the kindle will still fall out easily. The straps are just a backup, but I am disappointed by them.
Three stars seems low when my only complaint is that I misunderstood the description, but it is a high score when you consider that it is not a purchase I would have made if I had the chance to feel it in a store. It's not worth returning, but I will be looking for a piece of scrap plastic that I can attach to the inside of the case to try to provide the protection I want.
