(More customer reviews)I have no idea of what people who do not rate this item highly are looking for, but it does exactly what it is designed for, for a very reasonable price. I love to read in the Hot Tub, but since I have had a Kindle, I have not been able to. I ordered this cover, and now I can read in the Hot Tub even better than a regular paperback book (the pages or which always get splashed). I don't submerge it or otherwise intentionally get it wet, but it defintely keeps the water from my hands and the splashing away from the kindle. It would be perfect for the beach or pool area. I think some people expect too much from a product. So you have to open the top to turn it on. It's not like you are opening it under water! I would highly recommend this product.
