(More customer reviews)The description is inaccurate since you get the impression that it will actually play a variety of different video formats. Actually, you have to convert all common video formats to AMV, which is a Chinese version of AVI. The player has the conversion software as firmware, or you can download it from the VisualLand website. Otherwise, VisualLand media players are excellent values for the money.
== UPDATE
Okay, my above post is totally wrong. It was based on information I got from the manufacturer's website, where there is an obvious disconnect between their engineers and designers (top notch) and their packaging and support team (confused).
I have now been playing with the product for a couple of hours, and can report that I love it, but have found a bunch of problems with the specs. It immediately came up on my XP system as an external drive, although Windows popped up a "may not work" message.
It will play wmv, mpg, and some flv files. The sample files in memory were wmv and flv, and I have played my own files in wmv and mpg format with no problem. Some of my flv files play, but most don't. But, my avi and mp4 video files do not play. All mp4's come up with a format error, as do some avi's. One of my avi's did start to play, but exhibited a strange 1-second-play, 3-seconds-freeze pattern, with continuous audio. This is especially odd, since two other VisualLand models, the V-Core and V-Touch, play only avi. I know that there are many format variations within each type, so you may have different results. None of their support materials -- the box, the printed manual, the pdf in memory, or stuff on their website -- correctly identify the video formats the V-Sport will play.
The default brightness is set to 3 on a 5-level scale, which will cause you to think it's dim when you first turn it on. The max brightness setting seems satisfactory to me, although it may effect battery life.
I would have loved it if the V-Sport played all my flv's, but I'm happy that it plays wmv and mpg. That meets my needs, and will only require conversion for a minor portion of my programs. I would now give it 5's with one 3 in whatever category would cover the bad documentation.

8 GB Memory With microSD Card Slot The V-Sport features 8 GB of Flash memory, which is plenty of room for your favorite media. But if that doesn't do it, you can use microSD cards for expansion. This also allows you to conveniently swap in/out cards with particular content.
